JENXFIVE
South Yorkshire Artist | Spray Paint | Contemporary Urban Art
JENXFIVE is a South Yorkshire artist whose current practice marks a return to spray paint after formative years within the graffiti culture of Sheffield and Rotherham during the late 1980s. Drawing on urban environments, abstraction and contemporary visual storytelling, the work explores identity, place and reinvention through aerosol, mixed media and large scale expression.
MY STORY
My creative journey began within the graffiti culture of Sheffield and Rotherham during the late 1980s. Returning to spray paint after many years working across technical and creative disciplines, my current practice explores contemporary urban expression, abstraction and large-scale visual storytelling.
RETURN TO SPRAY PAINT
Over the last twelve months I have deliberately returned to working with spray paint as a primary medium. Reconnecting with techniques and influences rooted in my early experiences within the Sheffield and Rotherham graffiti scene, current work explores colour, abstraction and large scale visual expression. This renewed focus has become an opportunity to combine decades of creative thinking, technical problem solving and visual experimentation into a contemporary urban practice.
